Southern KZN Ladies (CMCA) Make History in KZNCU Women’s Promotion League

The girls of the Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy (CMCA), representing the Southern KZN Ladies team, achieved a phenomenal debut performance in the Castle – KZNCU Women’s Promotion League.

Major Group Stage Success

The team made an incredible impact by winning all their group stage matches! This dominant performance secured them a spot in the Semi-Finals of the tournament.

Historic Achievement: This is the first time the girls have competed in a KZN League, making their first-place finish in the group and progression to the semi-finals a truly major achievement.
Team Diversity: The team showcased remarkable progress, considering the players range in age from 8 to 20 years old, with some girls only starting cricket this year.

This success is a powerful testament to the effectiveness of the coaching at CMCA.

Semi-Final Clash

The Southern KZN Ladies team advanced to face the UZKN Ladies team in the Semi-Finals, which was scheduled to be played at the iconic Kingsmead Oval on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
