Action-Packed Weekend for The Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy

Kingsmead Cricket Stadium was abuzz with excitement on Saturday, 7 September 2024, as The Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy (CMCA) showcased their talent at the KFC Mini Cricket Provincial Festival.

Invited to bring three teams, CMCA’s young stars enjoyed a day filled with cricketing fun, playing alongside friends and meeting new enthusiasts of the game. The festival was a vibrant celebration of cricket, with children engaging in various activities such as batting, bowling, and fielding drills, all under the guidance of experienced coaches and volunteers. These sessions not only honed their skills but also emphasized the values of fair play and camaraderie.

The festival was a melting pot of talent, bringing together kids from diverse backgrounds to share their passion for cricket. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the mini cricket matches. Teams competed in a friendly yet competitive spirit, with parents and spectators cheering from the sidelines, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Each match was packed with thrilling moments, from spectacular catches to impressive boundaries, showcasing the young players’ hard work and dedication.

INAUGURAL KFC-MINI CRICKET PROGRAM LAUNCH A SUCCESS

The Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy(CMCA) launched a successful Mini-Cricket Program this weekend at Scottburgh Country Club. Parents and children had a Ball during the Inaugural mini cricket match. The parents and children expressed their excitement paticipating in the program. A huge thanks to coaches Veronique, Mikeal and Robert for their volunatry coaching.

Please note that MINI-CICKET WILL BE HELD EVERY SATURDAY AT 08:00 – 09:00AM AT SCOTTBURGH COUNTRY CLUB.

The KFC Mini-Cricket IS FREE and open to all girls and boys. Come and join in the fun off this exciting program, get your kids out there getting active and healthy.

MINI-CRICKET PROGRAM A SUCCESS

The KFC Mini-Cricket Program launched by the Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy is proving to be a huge success. This Wednesday Woodcrest Academy joined the program( As seen below in their blue uniforms). 

The Saturday morning program at the Scottburgh Country Club attracted a large number of kids as seen below, there were over 40 children that participated. 

The KFC MINI-CRICKET program is gathering momentum says Head Coach Clinton Moodley. “We are glad to see parents getting their children to the ground and getting them involved in this beautiful game” . Participation in cricket develops all kinds of skills, hand eye coordination, helps with dexterity, team work, motivation, discipline and obviously keeps you fit and healthy.
